JavaScript Code Completion Improvement

• The code completion logic was reconstructed. An internal code parser is based on Rhino compiler.

• ALL objects used by a completion are configurable. You can select build-in libraries or add your JavaScript libraries on Project's property window, which are used by a code completion.
• Added ECMA Script, Firefox, Prototype JavaScript framework, script.aculo.us, jQuery and Node.js as build-in libraries.

CommonJS Modules 1.0 Support

• Supported require method.

• You can edit a search path on Project's property window. The code completion searchs JavaScript libraries for require method.

Sybase Support

AmaterasERD now supports Sybase. You can choose Sybase as a database type at the diagram creation wizard.

Comment to Loginal Name

In importing and exporting, table and column comments are mapped to logical name in following databases:

• Oracle (all_tab_comments, all_col_comments)
• Sybase (all_comments)

Copy As Image

You can copy the diagram image into clipboard. Right click your diagram and choose "Copy As Image" in the context menu.

Quick Outline

Displays quick outline by CTRL+O.

Diagram Font

Diagram font became configureable. You can choose the diagram font at the Properties view.

HTML Generation Tool

AmaterasERD Extension provides a HTML generation tool without Eclipse and AmaterasERD.

You can generate HTML docs in command-line from *.erd files. You can download this tool from the following link:

Run htmlgen.jar as follows:

$ java -jar htmlgen.jar erd-file output-directory

You have to make the output directory before running htmlgen.jar

Constructor in the class diagram

In the class diagram, constructors are displayed as constructor icons.

And AmaterasUML can generate them as constructors correctly.

Java Generics support enhancement

Java Extension provides enhanched generics support. AmaterasUML can discover the associations and generalizations between classes containing generics.

Quick Filter

"Show only Public" and "Show All" are available in "Filter" menu.

Refresh from Java Source

You can synchronize class / interface to Java source in the class diagram. Click "Java" > "Refresh from Source", Your diagram would be updated by source code modification.

Copy As Image

You can copy the diagram image into clipboard. Right click your diagram and choose "Copy As Image" in the context menu.

XPath Search

XPath Search is improved and it's available in the HTML editor also not only the XML editor.

jQuery Support

JavaScript editor provides code completion for jQuery.

JavaScript code completion improvement

JavaScript code code completion is improved.

• Method completion proposals which are defined in user script
• Code template for useful statements such as if, for and more
• JavaScript keyword completion is available

Quick Outline in JavaScript editor

Quick Outline is available by CTRL+O in the JavaScript editor.

The JavaScript parser which is used by Quick Outline and Outline View is improved. It came to be able to parse user script more accurately.

JsDoc Support in JavaScript editor

JsDoc is displayed as additional information of code completion proposals.

When you press ENTER just before function or method, JsDoc template is inserted automatically.

Synchronization with the outline view

In the HTML, XML, JSP and JavaScript editor, the outline view is synchronized with the caret offset in the editor.

Selected word highlighting in the JavaScript editor

The JavaScript editor highlights the selected word in the same file.

StrutsIDE

struts-config.xml editor improvement

For Struts 1.3, struts-config.xml editor does not generate elements which have no child nodes in the struts-config.xml.

And you can choose Java interfaces as the action class in the struts-config.xml editor. This would helps use Struts extended frameworks such as a framework which supports POJO action.

validation.xml editor improvement

Support validation and code completion for indexedListPropery.

H2 Support

You can choose H2 as a database type at the new ERD creation wizard.

Switching dialect after creating a diagram

Database dialect could be selected in only the diagram creation wizard. You can switch dialect after creating a diagram from the context menu in AmaterasERD 1.0.7.

Improved foreign key creation behavior

When you create foreign key, AmaterasERD select columns which have a same name as primary key columns of the target table. If AmaterasERD can't find them, it add columns which reference primary key columns automatically.

Improved HTML report

HTML report now contains referenced tables.

Convert table / column name

You can convert selected table or column name from the context menu of the diagram editor. AmaterasERD provides following conversion:

• uppercase <-> lowercase
• logical <-> physical

Logical <-> Physical converting is an experimental feature in this release. So it would be changed in the future release. For example, a dictionary that is used to translate would be customizable.

Show NOT NULL constraint in the diagram

You can configure AmaterasERD to show NOT NULL constraint in the Eclipse preference dialog.

Snap to grid

You can switch grid / snap to geometry in the Eclipse preference dialog. Adjustment of position becomes easy by enabling these features.

SQL Highlighting

DB2 and MS SQLServer Dialect (1.0.7.1)

AmaterasERD 1.0.8 supports DB2 and MS SQLServer.

New appearance settings of class diagram / sequence diagram

You can configure appearance settings of class diagram / sequence diagram in the preference page.

Class diagram and sequence diagram can display simple classname instead of fully qualified classname. And class diagram also it can display no method parameter name.

And it is also possible to non-display method parameter names.

Auto diagram reloading

When the editing file has been updated in background such as SVN update, opened diagrams are refreshed automatically.

Note on the diagram

You can put notes on the diagram as same as AmaterasUML.

Additional SQL of each table

You can input additional SQL in the table editing dialog.

These SQL appear in last of the DDL. You can use this feature for many purpose such as manages initial table data.

JavaScript library adding wizard is available. Now this wizard includes prototype.js and script.aculo.us.

The JSP editor provides completion proposals for <%@ include %> and <jsp:include>.

Code completion for JSTL

The JSP editor provides completion proposals for JSTL taglibs attribute values.

dynamic-attributes

The JSP editor teaches you which taglibs use dynamic-attributes (supported in JSP 2.0) in code completion proposals.

JSP Preview Improved

• Even if the JSP does not have <html> or <body>, the JSP editor can preview well.
• JSP editor rewrites absolute path of external files (such as JavaScript, CSS and images) in the preview tab. So we can see the html which applied them.

Diagram Validation

AmaterasERD now provides ER-Diagram validation. It will help to keep consistency of your ER-diagram.

You can execute validation by the context menu of the diagram editor.

Errors are shown in the Problem view and tooltip on the diagram.

You can configure validation settings in the preference dialog.

Linked Table

If the diagram has a lot of tables, you'll want to split them to some diagrams. AmaterasERD 1.0.4 provides Linked Table for this purpose.

Linked Table means a table which is imported from the other diagram. You can import from the context menu of the diagram editor.

Linked Table is not modified in the diagram (it's shown as gray in the diagram), however you can define foreign keys to the Linked Table.

Copy and Paste

You can copy and paste from the context menu of the diagram editor.

Paste action does not copy relations and indices (it copies only table and its columns).

PostgreSQL and Oracle support

DDL generation now support PostgreSQL and Oracle.

Table re-importing improved

Table re-importing from JDBC meta data merges existing diagram models. This makes possible to design database with round-trip style.

Foreign keys decoration

FK columns are decorated as (FK) in the table figure.

Default column value

You can enter the column default value in the table edit dialog.

Also, default value is shown in the HTML report.

Outline view

Thumbnail and schema tree and thumbnail are displayed in the outline view.

DDL Generate Option

AmaterasERD provides a new option at the DDL generation wizard to generate constraints as ALTER TABLE.

Index Design

Domain

You can define domain (generic data types). Please double-click the "Domain" node in the Outline view.

Defined domains is available as data types in the table editing dialog.

HTML report imprived

HTML report has been improved. The generated HTML report became javadoc style.

DTP Integration

First step:

• Reverse engineering using DTP profile instead of AmaterasERD JDBC configuration.
  • Also it might be possible to make real time synchronization between ERD and database schema in the future.
• Direct database creation through DTP profile from ERD.

Code completion and Hyperlink improved

Code completion for href attribute has been improved. It proposes anchor names which is declared in the same or other files.

HTML editor also can complete target attribute (_blank, _parent, _self, _top).

And now HTML editor can hyperlink to anchor from href attribute value.

XPath serach in the XML editor

Right Click in the XML editor, and choose Search.

enable / disable auto editing

You can switch off auto editing at the preference dialog.

Eclipse 3.3 Support

StrutsIDE 2.0.5 works with Eclipse 3.3. It can't work with Eclipse 3.2.

Advanced code-completion for the html taglibs

ActionForm name completion is available at the name attribute of the html taglibs.

And also ActionForm property completion is available at the property atribute of the html taglibs.

Diagram selection synchronization

The struts-config.xml diagram selection is now synchronized to the outline view.

The struts-config.xml editor provides the brand new **Outline** tab. This tab provides outline editing for the struts-config.xml.

Nested property support in the validation.xml

validation.xml editor now supports nested properties.

Auto Layout

The view-flow editor for struts-config.xml now provides auto layout of the editing diagram.

Eclipse 3.3 Support

FacesIDE 2.0.5 works with Eclipse 3.3. It can't work with Eclipse 3.2.

Displays Javadoc as the additional completion proposal

When complete managed beans, you would be able to get Javadoc as additional completion proposal.

The view-flow editor for faces-config.xml now provides auto layout of the editing diagram.

Improved Java model importing

Java model importing has been improved. In the previous version of AmaterasUML, it reverses only generization and realization from JDT model.

AmaterasUML 1.3.1 can generate also aggregation automatically.

You can save your diagram as image. And also you can print it by the diagram context menu.

Table definition dialog improved

Table definition dialog has been improved. Following new configurations is available:

• Auto Increment Column
• Table and Column Description (These descriptions are exported as the HTML)

Import tables from database

AmaterasERD could import database schema at the initial ER diagram creation. In addition, The current version can always import them into existing diagram.

Export table definition as HTML

AmaterasERD can export table definition as HTML. Choose "Generate" -> "HTML" from the ER diagram context menu.

Auto Layout

You can layout entities automatically from the ER diagram context menu.

New Extension Point

New extension point below is now available:

• net.java.amateras.db.generators

Developes can add generators using this extension point. In default, AmaterasERD provides DDL generator and HTML generator.
