This release adds support for VLC 0.8.2. Several bugs have been fixed, mostly related to stream handling. As a result, this version can now be used with the EyeTV 500.
This release adds support for MPEG-4 (including the streams from Plextor's ConvertX) and integrates a newer FFmpeg version (0.4.9-pre1). Two new transcoding swiches have been added, and bugs related to startup problems as well as a conflict with FileVault have been fixed.
This release includes FFmpeg for real-time transcoding, enabling streaming over slow WLANs and the Internet. It also features a GUI for easy-to-use SSH tunneling, and uses corkscrew for connecting through SSL proxies. The client now offers a sortable list of recordings and options for aspect ratio, deinterlacing, and gamma correction, and there have been significant performance and stability improvements.
This version adds support for EyeTV firewire models (200/300/400) and newer EyeTV software versions. You can now also use the latest VLC versions to receive the stream, and performance enhancements allow much slower machines than before to be used as servers. Additionally, several bugs have been fixed, including problems where CyTV Server would not start or where the live stream could suddenly stop.
The server can now run at high priority, ensuring a smooth video stream. In addition to that, several bugs have been fixed, including an incompatibility with QuickTime Streaming Server.
