A fullscreen mode has been added. There are minor
enhancements in the renderer; as a result, libg3d
0.0.5 is required now. For use in the GNOME
desktop, a thumbnailer has been added which can be
used within the Nautilus file manager (the
integration is still a bit bumpy, though).
The GUI has completely changed. It is now based on
libglade, so there is a new requirement. A
localization framework has been added, and a
German translation is available. G3DViewer now
supports some enhancements from libg3d, hideable
objects and object trees. A screenshot function
has also been added and some bugs have been fixed.
The 3D model loading and manipulation code has
been split off into a separate library, libg3d.
The user interface now depends on GTK+ 2.x and
GtkGlExt 1.x. The old GTK 1.2.x/GtkGlArea code has
been removed.
This release contains all changes introduced in the preview releases. In addition to bugfixes and cleanups, this includes texture support and new and improved plugins. A bug preventing builds generated using GCC 4 from working correctly was fixed.
