Major feature enhancements, bugfixes, and code
clean-ups were done. LThreads were rewritten (with
a compatibility interface). LSerializer was
rewritten, and has much better performance now.
Many minor fixes were made. Exceptions were
brushed up and enhanced to be more usable.
LConfigSystem was cleaned up greatly, and support
for the old LConfigParser was droppped in favor of
LConfigModules.
Several internal code clean ups where done. A class for error codes in the form XXX-YYY-1234 was added. A line-based ASCII protocol framework for TCP was added which aids the developer in implementing such protocols. Primitive classes for rectangles and points were also added. The commandline parser was improved and enhanced.
A very simple scripting interpreter and parser was added, and the LOG/TRACE system was cleaned up. Some performance issues and the RPM build were fixed. Database modules are now implemented and packaged as plug-ins. OCI8 now has support for binds, and some Win32 extensions (Service and Registry) were added. Many platform and compiler-specific issues were fixed and cleaned up.
This release has a plugin system which can be very easily extended. There is also a scripting system (currently with a scheme like language) which loads new commands from the plugins. It also has some serialization.
