WebGLは、OpenGL|ES準拠のAPIの実装を提供し、ブラウザで3Dグラフィックスを用いたWebアプリケーションを構築できるようにするプロジェクトです。
現在の実装は、JavaScript+<canvas>で行っていますが、これ以外の仕組みによる実装も検討していきます。
WebGLは、「ぶぐる」と読むことにします。
