KDE 3.2.3 was included and nearly 100 new packages were
added or upgraded. Kernel 2.6.6-2 is now the default kernel,
and SAX2 was integrated for configuring the X server.
gcc was upgraded to 3.4.0, the Linux kernel was
upgraded to 2.4.26, and dozens of other software
packages were updated to the latest available
versions. Bugfixes were made for konqueror (fixing
a crash on close bug), ark, synaptic, and Qt
(which is now compiled with gcc-3.4.0). Several
new packages are available via the public APT
archive.
Yoper is now RPM based. An Apt repository is now the main
way to update and install packages. The installer now allows a
choice between Minimal and YKde. Gnome 2.6 and KDE 3.2.2
were included, and all other software packages were updated.
Kernel 2.4.25 and the latest Con Kolivas performance patches
were included, and the whole OS was prepared for 2.6.
Hardware recognition is improved and the ALSA drivers are
now used by default.
