gnupack 9.01 を使用しています。Win8/x86からWin8.1/x86にアップグレードしたところ、emacsを起動すると

というようにエラーが出て、.emacsの読み込み途中で止まってしまいます。ちょっと調べたところ、

とあり、1.7.25以降で対処されている（可能性がある）模様です。
cygwin-baseの更新方法が分からなかったで確認はできてませんが、gnupackの最新版が1.7.17ということもあり、Win8.1対応とするためにもこの部分の更新が必要な可能性があることをご報告いたします。
