Features added in this release include a new kind of
plugin function, a CVSToys client plugin, better relaying,
and more documentation. Bugs fixed include several
with the "seen" and "time" commands, plugins.tml
issues in the presence of improperly configured path,
and various other minor fixes.
A PyPI plugin has been added in this release, and the freshmeat module has been fixed and re-enabled. The plugin interface has also been extended to allow initialization and finalization hooks. Several other minor features and bugfixes are included as well.
Several new plugin modules were added, including commands for handling operator status, reporting weather, and looking up RFC information. A new form of owner authentication has also been added for networks that lack the NickServ service. Many commands were extended to work on remote networks as well as locally, and reporting for remote quits has been throttled (to match joins and parts). This release also includes many other minor feature enhancements and bugfixes.
The major feature enhancement for this release is tagged channel logging with a Web interface to view all previously tagged conversations. Other enhancements include a simplified plugin system, improved owner management across networks, remote whois command, simplified configuration, and a speedup in the logging code (removing the painfully long delay at shutdown time), and several new plugins.
