This release includes the GUI update part 2, which includes a trade window, so two players can trade with each other without typing commands. More scripted stories were added, as well as some some eye candy and a few new secret maps.
GUI update part 1: an inventory window was added.
Items on the ground are now stored in packages.
New quests and NPCs were added. 3 secret places are in the game now. Items now have a weight, and players have an attribute determining carry load.
Some new quests, creatures, and maps were added. There is now an overview map (tab key), which allows you to walk longer distances by clicking on it, and an URL catcher (F2 key), which starts the configured browser with the last seen URL. The Web site has a high score list, which lists players according to their skill levels. Very basic copy and paste support was implemented. Ctrl+arrow up/down lets you scroll through the last 1024 input lines and repeat them by pressing the enter key.
New player models were added; there are now 5 female and 5 male to choose from. When the connection to the server becomes too bad, the client will be disconnected instead of crashing the server. Initial support for netbooks, a small screen option in the config file, and a #smallscreen command to toggle the screen size. It works for the author's netbook, but might need to be changed to support other screen sizes too. This release fixes the #notes command: now you can re-read formulas the NPCs gave you. There are two new NPCs in the Newbie School.
This release improves the animations, adding different speeds for walking and fighting/idle animations. It adds more new artwork and modifies some maps. The first eye candy animation is in the game: a level up animation when your character gains another level in a skill.
